A short, plain-language privacy note.
Campnest is a small product made by real people. We try to handle your information the way we'd want our own handled — quietly, carefully, and only what's needed.
The short version. We collect only what's needed to run Campnest. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. Your camper photos, videos and notes belong to you.
What we collect
When you sign up as a host, we store the basics: your name, email, the camper you're setting up, and the content you upload (videos, photos, instructions, contact details for renters to call). When a renter opens your guide, we record anonymous, aggregate counts — how many people scanned, which topics they opened — so you can see whether the guide is being used.
We don't collect renters' names, accounts or device identifiers. They open a webpage, watch a video, and leave.
Why we collect it
Three reasons, and nothing else: to make Campnest work for you and your renters, to spot and fix problems, and so we can write back when you email us.
How your content is used
The videos, photos and notes you upload are shown only inside the guide for your camper, to people who scan your QR sticker. We don't reuse your content for marketing or training models without asking you first.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't run advertising. We don't share information with third parties for their own marketing. We use a small handful of trusted services (hosting, email, video storage) to actually run the product, and they only see what they need to do their job.
Your choices
You can edit or delete any content from your dashboard at any time. You can ask us to delete your account and everything in it by writing to hello@campnest.app — we'll do it within a few days.
Changes
Campnest is still small and still changing. If we update how we handle data in a meaningful way, we'll email pilot hosts and update this page. No fine print, no surprises.
